At Legendary, we obsess over the percent of calories from protein, called pCal. Having a higher pCal% means that a food delivers more of its calories from protein, relative to carbs and fat. pCal can be easily calculated with the following steps: 1) Locate the total grams of protein in a product 2) Multiply that number by 4 (there are 4 calories in every gram of product) 3) Divide that number by the total number of calories 4) All done! Using our Cinnamon Protein Sweet Rolls as an example: 1) 20g Protein x 4 Calories = 80 Calories 3) 80 Calories from Protein / 200 Total Calories = 40% pCal
